Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager – Packaging

Our client is a privately held, 35 year old packaging manufacturer that has retained our services to fill a Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager position. This position will lead all quality, food safety, and lean/continuous improvement efforts with the goal to reduce waste, improve productivity and increase operator sense of ownership. It will be responsible to define, implement, and monitor the systems required to ensure compliance which include ISO 9001:2008/15, FSSC 22000, cGMP, HACCP, FSC, SFI. It will be a very hands-on and in the plant position. The position will have 2 direct reports which consist of quality technicians on each shift. Our client runs a 2 shift, non union operation with 75% of the customer base within the food industry. Experience within the packaging industry would be a plus but not required. What we are looking for is someone that is able to provide documented successes in the area of continuous improvement. Ideally someone that has been successful in executing, managing and implementing CI initiatives including process improvement and lean projects. This position will be located within the Chicagoland area and relocation will be provided for the right individual.
